Apr. 6th, 2007 10:14 pm Today was a very good day. I got up early, which is usually not good as I am not a morning person, but I met my friend Leigh Anne for breakfast. It's been a few months since I have seen her, so it was great to hang out with her. We were able to actually talk because her daughter was at pre-school for a few hours. I love her daughter, but she is 3 years old. Not very condusive for good conversation. I did spend some time with her as well after we picked er up at school. She is growing so fast! I can actually understand about 95% of what she says now. It always amazes me at how fast children grow and develop!
Anyway, after spending some time with them, I began to run some errands. I finally found some things to finish decorating my second bathroom. I have been questing for this for almost a year. I also found a pair of jeans that fit me. Perfectly. That is tantamount to finding the holy grail. As far as I am concerned, it's better! I am short, have no waist, and have an AMPLE rear. All of you ladies out there know how difficult it is to find a decent pair of jeans, so you can appreciate this! I also found a cute sweater and tweed skirt that were both half price.
On top of that, I had been looking for a dressy pair of brown knee high boots all winter long. I have difficulty because I have large calves and many of the boots will not fit. However, I randomly stopped at a shoe store because of the huge sale sign posted in the windows. Lo and behold, there are 8 styles of boots left over from the winter. The first pair that I tried on fit and felt great. I got an $80 pair of boots for $25!
To finish it off, I had a long talk with my father. I love both of my parents, but my father always makes me feel good. (Mom gives the occasional guilt trip.) I love talking with him about anything and nothing.
Downside to all of this, my legs ache from walking. I was out running errands for over 12 hours today. My feet hurt, even though I wore comfortable shoes. I also began to have a flare up in my left leg, so my ankle and foot are swollen enough to give me a canckle. I've had my shoe off for almost 2 hours and there are still indention marks in my left foot. I have taken an anti-inflammatory for it and have it propped up. It will be fine after I get some rest.
Still a great day.
