I'm so proud!

I just found out that my brilliant nephew has been chosen, along with 3 other students out of his culinary arts class, to be part of a huge cooking competition sponsored by Food Network.  My sister called me to tell me, and she told me that he wants to tell me all of the details himself because he feels that I am the reason that he got into the culinary arts class.  His guidance counselor is so crappy and does absolutely jack shit for him, so I got him into the culinary class that would still allow him to take his advanced placement classes.  He's a talented young man, plays the guitar, is a great chef, isn't afraid to be himself and likes being different than everyone else, and is truly one of the most intelligent people I have ever known.  He's also only 16 year old.  I can't wait to see what he does with his life!  He is thinking about becoming either a chef, a corporate lawyer or a physicist (because physics is fun according to him).  I am sooooo proud of him!
